Me too. Kinda' like the spring noise in a screen door. Easy to acoustically hear that bolt lock back on an empty mag.

Is the sound any different with a flat spring?

The spring noise stood out to me as well.
That is why I ordered the JP Silent Captured Spring immediately.
Similar with the Kidd 10/22 bolt buffers to remove the 10/22 "bolt clack".

Those JP silent capture springs are nice. Everything JP is nice.

I have the Armaspec one. Works well

My Geisslle springs are quiet.

The rifle I had with the most spring noise was a ban era 20" Bushmaster, damn good rifle but you swore you had a pogo stick next to your ear when you shot it.

That?s funny. The one rifle I had that I really remember the spring sound to be a little excessive was also a 20? ban era Bushmaster.

Also, the simplest fix for those who don?t like the springy noise is to just shoot without hearing protection. I doubt you?d hear it then.
