1. This ammo comes in many configs that make it just as effective as other calibers.
2. Cheaper ammo = more practice
3. More practice = less ammo use if you really need to use it.
Nothing beats placement.
9mm for light days....45 ACP for heavy days.
But seriously folks.........several of you nailed it. Shot placement is what it's all about. As they say, a hit with a .22 beats a miss with a 10mm any day.
Nothing impacts a target like a full house 10mm load. Most commercial ammo is waaay short of this.
Get a G20 and you have the best of both worlds. Power that can not be doubled in a carry rig, and spare ammo like a little cartridge.
Rememeber the origins of the FBI and S&W making the 10mm. It was designed from the ground up as the best defense handgun cartridge ever. Some people have small paws and can't handle the recoil, hense was born the .40S&W or 10mm short.
