Did you put alcohol around the top? That helps heat up the alcohol in the can so you can burn off the fumes.

Lots of alcohol everywhere. After filling it, I poured alcohol all over and just lit the puddle. It burned nicely until all the fuel on the top and the floor was used, then it went out.
What kind of fuel are you using?
91% rubbing alcohol. It burns great in the one version and makes a nice little flame when you light a puddle on the floor.

It tried using isopropyl alcohol and there was too much water in it for it to work. I think I was using 71%. Try it with something like zippo fluid as well.Quote:
