I would not shoot it with .223 up close. Other than that I dont seen how it is any diffrent from shooting at a steel match.

At the last south shoot some guy was talking about his steel targets not holding up to .223.

I am not looking to weld it, I would be looking at a set up like this, but with smaller vertical targets.
