+1 for the SR 22.
+1 for the Ruger MKIII. I bought one for my wife to get her into shooting and she loves it. I shoot it more than she does. With the bull barrel, it's extremely accurate and easy to shoot well.
Have one of the Ruger MK III's with the bull barrel. Its a fun gun, shoots good, some complain that its alittle heavier but I think its fine and the weight probably is a benefit when it comes to its accuracy.
Thought about getting one of the Ruger SR22's here soon as a 2nd plinker.
Another one here who loves the Ruger Mark III in 22/45. I also have a Taurus revolver in .22LR which is a fun training pistol.
I seem to buy a buckmark every couple of years - They are the most fun to shoot. I have had zero problems with any of them and I have a couple that have very high round counts with minimal cleanings
P22 Owner... Bad to the bone little guy. Very accurate for such a short barrel and small caliber. Was able to get about canalope size group at 50yrd using good ammo. Won't break the bank up front or in ammunition.
Excellent Gun.
I have a M&P 22, a MK III and had a SIg mosquito. Stay away from the SIg. Have not shot the MK III yet but I have 500-1000 rounds thru the m&p with no issues
P22 is a kickass gun. Also recommend some of the same things others have been posting, but my REAL new personal favorite is the Colt 1911 in 22LR. That thing is way fun to shoot and extremely accurate right out of the box. Really impressed with the quality and shoots everything I put through it.
