Can you replace the cutter? I've had a few lyman hand cutting tools and they dulled after trimming about 200-300 cases (primer pocket tools).

Yes, it comes with two steel cutters. I have trimmed around a thousand cases so far and I'm still on the first cutter. They also make a carbide cutter as a replacement.

I'm sure there are better options out there, but this one works fine for the volume I shoot.

My bad, been surfing the reloading forum ;) My spouse will not be happy till her tax stamp shows up.

I have 2 trimmers. the Giraud and a dillon RT1200. The 1200's on the 1050. For super accurate trimming i've found doing them by hand is best. Most trimmers have a ~ + - OAL, even with the same head stamp. Mic up a few pcs of New brass and see what the discrepancy in OAL is.

Yes, I trim 223 down for 300 blk. IIRC, the case trim length is about 1.360" and I get about a 0.003" total spread with that lyman trimmer.
