There's not much more to the story than I posted. Combine 4+ hours at the range and 2-3 rifles each, plus pistols, plus gear bags and you are talking a lot of stuff to pack up for tired folk.
Its more common than people think too. Someone left a $1500 Kimber there not to long before I did mine. If I do it again, then feel free to bag on me something fierce. It was MY responsibility to check MY gear and not rely and my buddy to verify all the gear was accounted for.
The thing that makes this a happy (& not sad) story is due mostly in part to the Chaffee people and range. There are some great folks there and a beautiful range to boot.
