We watched season 1 of Afro Samurai. We liked it.
I've got to talk the lady into watching Sword of the Stranger and Ghost in the Shell though. Maybe if I'm lucky, she'll even watch Ninja Scroll. 8)

RED was good! I liked it. I also watched "Takers" and it wasn't too bad. EDITED SPOILER: Bad guys get away, pretty realistic ending.
