I bought them (and their predecessors) because even though we don't use them a ton, I hate renting other peoples brokedick stuff. We also tend to go to places that even if they have rentals, they are the suck.

They're getting along in age anyway and tend to lose value quickly in the first few years. Mama's 3-up is a 2008, my 2-up is a 2003.
