Just watched 2 guys re-route the venting for my furnace from the North side of the house to the East side to avoid the crazy winds here.

Furnace kept shutting off because the exhaust was being forced back down the vent. Now I have a new hole in the side of my house.

If what they're doing is gonna fix up your heating needs, then that's cool.

Too bad it couldn't have been done right in the first place though...dang it.

There was nothing wrong with their construction methods. When they built the houses behind us, it funneled the wind enough that it started causing problems. They tried to fix things internally and nothing solved the problem, so they finally came out and re-routed the pipes.

Hopefully the furnace will work reliably now.

Yeah, no kidding. I'm hopeful for ya too, brother.
