That was a fun "catch up".... no shit !!
I'm still laughing from that. Cool to see Roberth peekin in lately and nice to see ya Stoner.
Had a really long day, training class with Snap on I-70 / Havana after work...didn't get home til 30: ago....I'm beat. Managed to fit the regularly scheduled scrape and poke fest at the dentist in, this afternoon too. Should be going to bed now, but I'm kinda wired a little bit....dammit.
I'm looking forward to the build pics as well, gentlemen. Cool !!
Shit...gotta head to bed.
Good Thursday to all of us,
Peace.
Good Morning Hos!
Just thought I'd drop in and say hi from Chile. I have had less than 15 hours of sleep since Sunday (trip down here was 42 hours without sleep because who can honestly sleep on a plane). I leave in about 1 hour to visit the local university where I will be installing (for training purposes) the prototype hardware I'm designing, before moving it to the observatory. After that, we're going to lunch at a local vineyard so I can get some local chilean wine to bring back and then grab an empanada for lunch (local specialty) along with a Pisco Sour (local specialty drink, its like a Brandy sour but made with Pisco which is a liquor made from a local grape), then onto the airport.
All in all, this has been a truly amazing trip and I am looking forward to coming back down here in November, if not this summer (we're going to rent a house near the local university for me to stay at while I make my many trips down here; believe it or not, renting a house for a few years is cheaper than paying room/board at the observatory or a local hotel).
Very cool. I've never been further south than Belize. A South American trip has always been on my "to-do" list though.
Just got to work!!
Woot!
Trains, C-4,........Hmmmmmmmm....
Wax, for trains, use four strands of 1" sand cable across the tracks and spiked back to ties. C-4 might be a little loud.
Lobbed from my electronic ball and chain.
Confirmed.... Saturday afternoon is the build......
This build is part of the package that was awarded to me after the last competition. Although not officially part of the prize table, the folks who help run the company offered to help me build a good bolt gun for competitions.
Right on belly. I've got at least 4-5 weeks to get my barrel blank contoured, cut down and reamed.
