They won't be charging this for long. The new law states FFL transfer dealers cannot charge more than $10 for the background check. ...At least THEY put something positive in the bill.

I believe the comment was an effort to bring light to the conflicts of interest we have seen where dealers stand up before politicians saying "ALL GUNZ SHOULD HAZ BUKGRUN CHEX IN MA STORE!" All the while knowing that if background checks are mandatory for private sales, a monopoly emerges. Now all sorts of shady shenanigans emerge:
Clerk: "mmk son, wutcha doin in you transfers it ta me an I transfers it to yer buyer here..."
Seller: transfers it to FFL for $80
Buyer Pays ANOTHER $80 (it's a different transfer now)does 4473 and has a DENY
Clerk: to seller "Mmmk Son, I'll sell you back yer gun for $5400. is really nice an look like she's taking good care of... 'esides, can't get these after dey bannem. Jus fill out dis here form..."
Correct me if I'm wrong but this is funny pictures, where we go to lower our blood pressure. Please take these discussions toGeneral DiscussionLegislation & Politics where they belong. I was looking for something to laugh at and now blood just shot out my eyes onto my iPad screen.
