Hello camel!
Hey McJunior!
My brain hurts from thinking about COAL.
While being 0.005" off the lands is desirable, it doesn't make sense to be at 2.940" long when magazine length is 2.835". Am I being reckless by wanting to blame my problems on loose primer pockets and/or under spec primers? As in, keep seating to 2.800" and use new brass?
Yea, well it scared me when it happened and I want to know why. The 42.8gr charge blew out the primer, locked up the bolt. Okay, over pressure because too much powder.
But then why did the 38.0gr charge blow out the primer too?! That couldn't have been from too much powder!
I semi understand that thread. My guess is bad lot of materials. You don't strike me as the type to "wing it".
That sucks! Unfortunately fevers are a good thing. Hope that little guy burns that virus out.
I feel your pain.
