an LT got fired over this.

We tried to use this as a training tool and let him stumble his way to victory... no go. fired. He's now the assistant to an assistant in the ops section.

hahahahaha We've got one of those too. You basically need to treat them like Milton from Office Space: Move their desk into the basement and don't let them get in the way of real work.

I'm pretty torn about this. I don't really believe in the 'zero defect' mentality. If someone makes a mistake, let's see ho they work themself out of it. Let's see their reaction. Same level as letting a MLB pitcher work his way out of a bad inning. Everyone here is so quick to fire people. Think of the mentoring opportunity that just got lost.

On the other hand, though. He's a LT. I never made a mistake that bad, and I've had a couple WTH moments.....
