Many times. One of the minions favorite activities when out here is to find/collect bugs.
We have captured Wolf spiders 4" in diameter(across body and legs)and build very tough web lined homes in the cracks that form when our clay soil dries. Not much fun to feed, when they detect you they tend to wait/hide until you leave then dart out and attack prey.
Some sort of Spotted Orbweaver, they build large webs(18" + diam) to catch flying insects and are fun to feed, catch bug(small grass hoppers work well cause they struggle so hard and really vibrate web) and throw against web.
Even an occasional black widow, which are put in gallon jar(with some dirt, grass, twigs, etc like a fully furnished condo) and put in cool dark place. Hole in the lid with tape over it allows bugs to be thrown in.
Obc, I actually stumbled across a socket just like you decribed in my tool bag last night, but for 10mm.
HoneyB, the drain plug on my Focus is on the back of the pan, but on the Amigo it is right up front.
I did a surprising amount of vehicle maintenance yesterday. Well, not a lot, but just stuff that really needed done.
Only about half the stuff gonna get done today.
While I was eating lunch the wife came in and said she wants to go to the range. Says she wants to see how the new contacts and new glasses work for shooting. So see ya bye. [AR15][Beer]
Woo hoo !....those rib eyes are really damn delicious. I snuck a few pieces while removing fat and cutting them up for the lunches.
Lobo, hope you had a grand time slingin' lead around with the wife this afternoon...hotter than Hades out there though. There are some really cool spiders/insects out there.
Brutal, I think 15K is too early. Even if you're just using 90 wt. hypoid w/friction modifier in the diff. Our fleets cars weigh 10,000 lbs and are severe duty, and get the shit beat out of 'em....and 25K on Trans/Diff changes is adequate. If you Diff(s) are synthetic, you're good up to 50K. IMO
I had a hard time finding those sockets on the interwebz for picture purposes, don't know why.
WD marathon still going strong....I think I'm a WD Whore too... ha!
Hopefully your tools aren't *gone*, Wax. Nothing pisses me off quicker than having lost some expensive tools.
Running Amok sounds fun, but I don't have the energy to run right now, and I'm not sure I have any Amok in the pantry.
Thanks, you're probably right and I'm being overly anal about it. 2004.5 2500 RAM Cummins.
It got changed by the Dodge dealer after the first break-in (15k?) and I've only got just under 45K on the clock. Most of that is running around 21K total. It's all synthetic and with the LS rear, has friction modifier in it. I change my oil on time (2x/year) and never hit the miles.
The trans fluid got changed when I put on a deeper pan with a bung for a temp sensor shortly around the same time and it's never cooked so that's GTG. The only thing I keep putting off is installing a larger rear diff cover with bung and temp sensor/gauge but now since Dipricol went out of business, my gauges wouldn't match and I'd have to buy all new.
