It's statements like this that make Tacoma owners feel the need to defend their trucks. It's a plastic bumper cover just like every other truck and no other truck made by any other manufacturer would have fared any better in that accident. Too bad it wasn't made of the plastic that they used to make Saturn doors and bumpers out of... You could hit those with a baseball bat and they would just bounce back.

My sister had that same car, but white and had the exact same thing happen. She was driving down a neighborhood street early morning right into the sun and there was a truck in a driveway that had a ladder sticking out the back into traffic. That ladder shattered her car from front to back.
