You must have gone through during a rare day when there was no road construction in Nebraska. :) We've decided to simply go through SD instead of Iowa; it tacks on more time, but it's better than sitting in the back seat of the Iowa Trooper's car while he talks about how Colorado's tinting laws vs Iowa's blahblahlah.
This has been my experience. Just fishing for some drug traffickers officers? Better work on your Spidy Senses because you are wasting your time on me and the family in our four door sedan, complete with a small dog in the front seat. Obstructed tag...apparently this is the best they can come up with in the Hawkeye State. [facepalm]
Put my cams in today. Turn on automatically when power is applied at the USB port (power adapters), and run for 10:00:00 unless something is happening onscreen ("motion detect") to let them turn off. So I got dash cam from ignition on to 9:59:59 after power off (unless motion keeps the camera on longer, on battery power), with 32Gb SD cards running. Better than nothin', i guess.
Got pulled over for "dirty rear plate".
By a Texas trooper headed the opposite direction on a divided highway at 75mph who turned around to get me.
I then withstood the most blatant fishing line of questions ever.
Where you headed?
The rigs hunh?, those boys like their drugs. You bringin em some?
Those boys really like their meth, you sure you're not makin a delivery?
Etc.
I was respectful, if a bit flabbergasted by his line of questioning. He was apparently satisfied with my answers, 5minutes and I was on my way.

Thats what y'all get for sportin' a Obama sticker!
"Y'all ain't from 'round her, is ya?"
When I was working in Omaha, I avoided the other side of the river like a plague...
When I was stationed at Offutt AFB and saw people from IA drive it's no wonder the state troopers in IA stop out of state cars. I don't think anyone from IA has ever driven the speed limit, much less exceeded it.
