Gort! Klaatu barada nikto
hi.
Howdy HB, and ho's, respectively.
I had a great lesson tonight, learned the progression for KWShepards "Blue on Black"..... and diggin' it. I'll have it down pretty decent in a few days.
Looks like good weather this Saturday for IDPA.....sweeeeet, Man.
I just got home from work. Didi barked once (just saying hi, I suppose), then hopped on my lap when I sat down. She's now just sitting here watching tv with me. She's a great dog!
My dog continues to disappoint me at running. She runs ahead of me for the first kilometer, then next to me for the second, and I'm practically dragging her by the third. This frustrates me because at no point does she ever need to go past a light trot to keep up with me. Even when she is pulling ahead she is only trotting. I'm hoping with some practice and slow increases she gets better. Makes it tough when 1) she's done after 3k, but I'm running 6k, and 2) I'm trying stay on a certain pace when she decides she'd rather walk.
Tonight I thought ahead and brought some water. I stopped at 3k, gave her some water, and put her in the car while I ran ahead. Last time I brought the family and I would take the dog every other lap, giving her a chance to rest with the girls in between. We'll get there some day.
Well hell, check this out.

In the same race, his sister Lauren set a pending Georgia state record for 9-year-olds, breaking the 15-year-old record by one minute, nine seconds, and running 20:52.
