Sorry to attempt to derail the reloading thread, but has anyone ever put jerky on a smoker instead of a dehydrator? I just put a bunch in marinade this morning.

I see no reason you could not use a smoker, just don't put the water in there, let it dry.. but you have to manage the heat pretty closely.
When we did it, it was just in a dehydrator. It came out pretty darn good though.
Traeger smoker as well.
