I've only had to travel once this whole year, and it's been awesome. The previous several were all busy status-qualifying years. I really have no desire to go back out on the road, even though there's the possibility I'm missing out on important "politics" etc. Hang in there...

For the record, I was going on a run anyway, and just decided to do the run twice (had to drop the dog off in the middle). Not like I just got up off the toilet and said, "Well, time to run 6 miles I guess..." Haha.

I had the opposite problem. After a big merger, I started ending up travelling to meet with the guys from the other company, who were East-coasters used to lots of wining and dining at fancy restaurants. Tons of great food and wine, but it really does get old after a while. There were nights I just wanted to have a burger and go home, and not spend 4-5 hours every night eating steak and drinking wine with a ton of guys from work. Doesn't sound like something I should complain about too loudly though, huh?

Awesome ccw pistol, I really enjoyed carrying mine, but I could never get used to the thin grip. I'm a Glock guy so naturally I'm accustomed to the chunky grip. Back to Glock I went.

I know how you feel. It's easy to eat fancy on the company dime, but after a while it gets old.
