Drove 2 hours in the slick to Canyon City this morning, 2 hours on the damn train, drove 3 hours back including the slog through Garden of the Gods, shoveled snow (too light to blow), went out to eat dinner and now I need to get my ass to bed after I finished the couple fingers of Jameson special reserve.
People that can only drive 40 when road conditions permit 50-55 or more need to stay the hell off the roads. They are an impediment to safe and effective travel.
What a frustrating drive that must have been!
Mainly because I couldn't do (all) the usual white knuckle double yellow passing coming back on CO 83 with 76 year old Mom and her 83 year old fiance in the car with us.Quote:
