So WHAC isn't closed after all?
I am sorry to say that WHAC is currently closed. We have continued to fight this zoning restriction with the Adams County Planning Commission but, as anyone who has had to deal with any government agency knows, things in their world move slooooowwwwwwly. We have also been instructed by our lawyer to not discuss the details of the process which we are going through on a public forum (we wouldn't want to give the opposition any information that could be used against our efforts) so, for this reason, I haven't posted much on this thread.
We are hoping to reach an agreement with them in the future but I don't expect it to happen any time soon.
Cy would it be helpful if we called our reprisentitives in Adams county? Or somebody if so who I would love to be able to help in some way, let me know if there is something I can do. Maybe we can start a petition or something
We have had a lot of communication with different folks within the county offices. Most of their answers have been the predictably non-committal "I would love to help because I am pro-gun but it's not up to me" BS.
That is kind of you but I think we are OK so far. People have the right to know.
I’m one of the WHAC displaced. I’m very sad to see this range closed. My Dad and I have used this range for a long time and meet many interesting, helpful and kind people. CY keep up the good fight.
I have been a member 20 years (charter member) if suck to see it go. Cy was doing a great job and the range was better than it has ever been.
