I've also determined that funnel spiders have Personalities. Two different webs 60 ft apart...out in the back yard.....one spider is Flash fuckin Gordon on a moth, and the other one is stupid timid about actually coming out to get the damn moth at all. Yes, a larger question would be Why am I feeding moths to spiders in my back yard, but that's not really the point here hahaha.

I figure that moths are ultimately retarded in the first place, so....why not. It's cheap entertainment from time to time. It's actually pretty bad ass to watch what these spiders do, and how they harvest their meals. Flash took his and was back in the his hole in about a second, literally. That's what intrigues me about the other spider......hangs back, waits....does some spider thought or some shit, and THEN finally comes out and fangs the meal. Then sat in the entrance to the hole, messin with the moth.

Nature....far out.

All but a couple are on one side of my old work truck. Been a while since last driven.

I attribute the abundance of Orb Weavers to the early heavy rain and relatively mild temps this summer. Five times what we normally see. But not a single one in the house. Lots of "other" spiders in the house.
