Well, it's foggy in Fort Collins, so you might see some more visible moisture yet today.
At work, it's 0830 and still foggy. Wasn't it always supposed to be sunny in Foco?
Awesome. My understanding is that Roth IRAs are first and foremost the best for retirement.
I was up until about 2am last night reading about web design - something I was really interested in 10 years ago, but never pursued much. I think I want to get to the point where I can start doing some freelance work and build it into it's own source of income to give me a little more flexibility and a few more options with my career in a few years. Computers, networking, and coding is stuff that comes pretty easily to me, and although it can be frustrating as heck sometimes, I think I enjoy it - especially the design portion. I've had a lot of people tell me I have a good eye for design and I've worked on a few projects within my current job where I was able to design a few different web sites and web tools (no I'm not talking about sharepoint... hahaha) and it interesting and fulfilling work. If nothing else, I learn a whole bunch and just have another set of tools in my toolbox.
HoneyBadger!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You really need to take the time to read this: https://momanddadmoney.com/documents...Roth%20IRA.pdf
Talks about the differences between Traditional and Roth IRAs. Roth isn't always the steadfast answer that many people believe it to be.
Then Part VIII of the stock series has a break down of most of the different retirement plans, including TSPs which apparently are the best thing ever and should be maxed out if available (which I believe they are to you). http://jlcollinsnh.com/2015/06/02/st...-roth-buckets/
Finally, this interview may be of direct interest to you. Interview with the creator of TreeHouse, which is an aggressive online learning place that is designed to have people job ready (from high school!) in as little as six months.
