I can't help but think about how many thousands of taxpayer dollars were wasted on putting a gorilla suit in orbit. It is generally accepted that it costs about $10,000 per lb to put something in orbit, but there are many variables.

That's just the gas and the launch vehicle. Add in a team of NASA folks analyzing the snot out of the materials, realizing the cheap Shinoua crap won't do, and then having a suit made with materials compatible with the space station, packaging, handling.
My guess $250k. Plus lost science opportunity in the form of about 1/2 a cargo bag, I won't even tell you what that runs.
