Should have dropped by. From the shop to house across the street is 97.5 yards, no one says anything around here or can see you. Wait till you're testing some digital optics after dark and the local le rolls up. Hey what's that, can i check it out.

That was cool, Ridge.
Yeah Erni, the breeze kinda sucks. Winter and snow sucks.
If we could flash forward to May right about now, I'd be super good with that.
I eyeball boresight optics all the time across the street to a tree. Always seems to get me on paper when I hit the range. One or two shots to dial into zero with a solid mount. Ya'll should know that trick by now. Maybe a bit more work to zero groups out to 200yds after if that's the goal for a bolt gun.
Heya Brutal+?
How'd your hunting trip turn out?
lol.
Unproductive.
Opening morning we saw a herd of 50 (my count) 1200 yards off going up a ridge. Two hunters posted at the top of that tagged out. Probably 100-150 yd shots for them. Animals did not turn towards any of our group, we had two guys about 500-600 yds from them (between me and the herd). The herd hightailed it back down the hill and south (away) from us that were to the north.
At that location, I generally sit lower and in a spot where if they turn north and run the draw or sidehill one big hill, they have to cross my path either left or right. I also overlook an open area creek bottom that always shows lots of sign and that we've seen them use. Just never seem to be in the right place at the right time.
Second day, heard a war start further south. Saw 6-8 animals 2000 yds off come over the ridge and look around, but they turned back. I think the two guys up there ran out of ammo and didn't pack anything out.
Wind/scent wasn't a factor in either case, just bad luck they didn't turn our way.
