I read the specs, knew the variations prior & was still surprised @ how much difference there was/is in the grip & the weight of it once in my hands. Even more surprised I found one I definitively knew I didn't want to own, because up to now I've enjoyed each Ive handgun I've tried.
I suspect you'd notice too, whether you would care or not...I dunno.

Shield is the same thing. On paper it doesn't seem much different than the M&P compact, but once you hold it in your hand it feels noticeably different.
Right. Shouldn't be but yes, I thought there was a difference. My groups on paper suggest the same. Curious.
Anyhoo, for now I'm only going to look at full sized frames. So many choices...
