If you like fantasy, The Witcher is surprisingly good (not for the kiddos). I was apprehensive about someone new doing Geralt, being used to the voice actor in the games, but Cavill (I think is the guy) does a decent gruff voice. Timeline's a bit confusing, but starts to make sense as episodes pass. I'm also disappointed they didn't have a fiery redhead as Triss, and his wolfhead medallion's kinda boring, but other than that it's fun.
Gruff voice or just monotone? I haven't been impressed by the 1st episode.
To be fair, a lot of the lore behind The Witcher is basically that the rites that witchers undergo deadens their emotions. You'll see that most people think that they're cold and unfeeling, but you quickly realize that Geralt (and others) actually have even deeper emotions, they just don't show them outwardly all the time.Quote:

The wife and I are watching You on Netflix. Sort of reminds me a little bit of Dexter in a way. Not as good as Dexter but serviceable for now as we are kind of between all of the stuff we normally watch.
Sorry that I neglected to say that I did thoroughly enjoy the NETFLIX production, “Messiah”. It was very entertaining and even the CIA was heavily involved. Some reviews classified it as scandalous, sacrilegious, blasphemous etc. We have to remember it IS only a movie for entertainment, not something in an attempt to sway any Religious beliefs. Let us know your opinion IF you watch all ten sessions of it.Quote:

Another good movie (to ME) is St. Vincent on AMAZON. I never cared for actor/comedian Bill Murray but he was damned good in this movie. His portrayal of a Veteran, down on his luck was very entertaining.
