I'm the same.
Most of people I know who got sick eating at certain countries were mostly tropic area (lower than 22* longitude.)
I refuse to eat any small tiny restaurants or street food from that region of the earth.
Last time I got real sick eating was 1999. I ate a pho with rare streak. Soup was only warm and didn't cook meat inside the soup. It was in Colorado.

The GF pulled up the Carol Burnett show S1E1. We're 3rd show in and we've both busted a gut laughing several times.
