Seriously though, I am going to try the cream anyways because I want to know if it's more effective than the oil. The reason for not doing both at the same time is for the same reason you wouldn't do several things to repair an issue on a car at the same time. You won't know which one worked.
When we were racing, it took a while to find the best single cause for why the car wasn't turning the best it could turn. Most everything else was pretty close all at the same time, so only change ONE thing at a time and document the results.
