I dislike being watched & am self conscious sometimes too & it doesnt matter because I would rather be better. Why I started recording my match stages here & there. I have some from yesterday & still waiting to get the rimfire match vids from Friday. I can't wait to see those!

Though I'm not sure I'm comfortable posting my video here, but not for the reasons you might first think.

I think i could have shot the star with most any 55 grain yesterday. Because there was an opening in the afternoon match, i shot them both. The second time was with the nasty Magtech batch I have left over that my rifle was NOT zeroed for. It didnt really matter until the 300yd stage; @300 it mattered.

& I think I over think anyway. Also ordered my first data book so I can transcribe all my notes & have a standard to move forward with. @ a friend's suggestion, I made sure to get the one that can get wet too.

I forget sometimes that precision is less important than accuracy for much of the matches I'm doing right now. My current rifle's configuration is about as good as it gets for what it needs to be & I should be happy with its capability.

Still, the difference in quality of ammo & the need to zero for it was blatantly obvious once demonstrated with a bit of distance.

Could you explain to me how you differentiate between accuracy and precision?

Try and keep it short as I don?t read long post.

Hitting target every time vs hitting bullseye every time.

I like to think I?m about 95% on target most of the time but maybe about 40% of those shots actually go where I want them to.

Does that mean I?m pretty accurate but not very precise?

What you posted is the first step in starting to reload. While (when i shoot) i'm good with factory ammo. Having the capability to dial the load for that gun really makes a difference.
