Supervisor asked me to stay 1.5-hrs later in a few weeks for a design review (the type that usually last a few hours). I said I'd prefer not to on that date, as it was my birthday; if I stayed that late, I wouldn't get to see my girls at all that day and that wouldn't be a good way to celebrate my birthday.

He then asked me if I was turning 29. I said no.

I'm not sure if I'm supposed to be offended or excited that he thought I was going to turn 29. Does that make me old?

Or is it the fact that I just had spine surgery, can't lift more than 10-lbs, walk 5-mi a day per doctors orders, and wear sunglasses over my prescription glasses?
