I despised Barney, but....
My daughter (now 23) watched Barney when she was a little girl. Around that time I was trying to teach her not to just run into the road but to look both ways and make sure it was safe first. No matter what I said, she just wasn't getting it, until... One episode of Barney on how to safely cross the road and *zing* she gets it and I never had to worry about it again.
