That would be cool.

As the dust from the recent shock intention settles, I am faced with unexpected fabrication again. Certainly manageable, just a pain in the ass. Bilstein doesn't have a stud/stud shock that goes 31-1/2 full extension, only stud/bolt.
I've got the fronts figured out pretty good...probably 3 hrs. I figure. Rear is kind of a mess that I need to read up on some stuff about.
Did get the other brake line adapter I needed, so I can finish plumbing all that and get it bled when I have some help. I still need to dig that gizmo out of the master cylinder rear line for the disc conversion.
Funny, .... I ordered and picked up the shocks. Never thought to ask the guy what color they were.
Of course the boxes have the traditional blue/yellow on em, and I thought....oh nooooo.
I was relieved they were brushed aluminum with black boots.... ahhhhhh.
Everyone knows the line lock goes on the front brakes. Makes for awesome burnouts.
I noticed Tim K got a promotion. : )
P.S. rear disc... What are you doing for e-brake? Line lock perchance?
This rear diff came out of an E-350. I have access to all the cables needed, and I will pilfer a left side cable that was somehow missing. I don't think it will be overwhelming to fab a similar frame rail bracket for the main cable, as the second cable operates off the first. The only trick on that is mating the new stuff to the old regulator and managing the excess cable in this application. With the lift involved, the excess isn't a bad thing.
If I can't use the OE regulator, I'll just mount the E series one in place of the OE. I should be able to make it work though, I'm gonna try at least.
There is one interesting thing about making a Frankenstein Vehicle.....remembering which parts you used from what to get replacements for later. Ha!
Um yeah...I need front pads for a 79 F 250. Oh and some rear pads for a 02 E 350. There's a lot of E stuff mingled into this build.
I'm kinda pissed off my main way to get to work will be closed until monday morning. This I-70 bullshit project is nonsensical from inception....let alone the inconvenience in the meantime.
