OBC (OBH?) Heck of a job. That will be a show winner. It's great that you are doing a show work truck. Way too many street rod or too nice to offroad trucks out there.
Reloading: the time commitment is tough. I dont shoot comp anymore so volume is low, again time. Maybe in 2 years when 2 of the kiddos leave the house, as long as the Dem-bags don't foul it up. Also I really just shoot 9, 38 and 223 in volume. For now 223 and 9 are cheaper to buy than reload. And 30 carbine was honestly cheaper to buy than to set up for reloading. The other calibers I can single stage on the equipment I have.
I think automation and volume caught up with ammo, and the prices are too good to beat right now.
But if I can find a nice setup for 38 and 223 for a great price, I would probably do it.
Nice work OBC.
Truck looks good.
Someone shot a bear where I was hunting on Friday?
Have you guys seen the Pork Sword bolt action pistol? Out of a 10" barrel, they are saying that .308 is still supersonic at 900 yards. They only have .308 and .300 blk right now. Sounds super light and compact for hunting though. Thoughts?
I'm about to switch from .308 to 6.5 Creedmore. Going to sell my Axis with scope (or two), left over ammo, dies, and brass, so I can move into a Savage 10/110 precision. Sure I won't get much traction on the Axis, but oh well.
Thanks, everyone.
I know it's not a truck thread...I appreciate the ability to share the project here with you folks.
You've done a lot of good, thoughtful design and fabrication on that truck. It's a work to be proud of, sir.
I've got a job interview just before lunch time. <fingers crossed>
