Soooo.... I just awoke to my cat viciously attacking my face.
What the bloody hell!?!?
Blood everywhere, several very deep scratches & a couple of punctures.
Um, What the f*?!?!
Its been 10m & I'm still bleeding from two wounds because they are so deep.

I better find a bunch of spider legs or evidence of something equally creepy crawly or a big piece of fluffy yarn when I clean up the blood.

If some of the punctures are from teeth, you need to get to the hospital. Cat bites are no joke. We found out from experience.
Yes, I agree. If you don't go right away, if you see ANY discoloration around the wounds, get to the doctor or ER ASAP. My wife was attacked by one of our cats when she tried to pull it out from under the couch, we don't know why and she ended up with blood poising. Scary stuff.
Do not fuck around with cat bites. Everyone thinks they'll be okay, but they won't. That's how people get amputations.
Oh yeah, be prepared for them to care more about getting a hold of your cat for quarantine than actually treating your literally life threatening injuries. We had to lie and say a stray attacked my wife.

I spent a good deal of time & effort thoroughly cleaning out the wounds & sealing up my face. It's uncomfortable. See how it goes.
He's forgiven. Though last night when I looked like a frenzied axe murderer in a B horror film who had just slaughtered a house full of cheeky teenagers & the idiot chaperone . . I did threaten to peel him & make a very fine Russian hat. A joke of course, but even for face wounds there was a surprising amount of blood that set the mood. I found much more to police this morning too, even a bit of cast off on the ceiling. Funny.
Just strange it even happened.
