Excellent.

The one time I got to play with something like that I was hitting 1.5 x 3 inch diamond @ 200yds on a breezy day. Loved it.

For the fun of it. We'd have comps to see how many could hit steel @ 100 with their hand gun. Not everything needs to be competitive.

The fun for me is hitting the target every time. Repeatability. Solving the puzzle.

Don't care if other folks can do it unless I get to watch & learn. Beating them isn't the point.

THAT (in part) is why I go to competition

Other half is so I can measure my progress in a control environment through scoring.

For perspective Id go if I was the only one shooting btw.

Most of my fun and valuable leaning lessons have come from just screwing around with friends and doing silly stuff.

Handguns at 200 yards. Best out of ten shots wins.

Shotgun slugs at 400 yards. Closest thing to artillery fire I?ve ever done.

We'd set up steel at 100 yd intervals and see who could hit them with slugs. One might be surprised how far a 12ga slug will travel.
