Holy cr*p. Ordered a new truck 1-15-20.
Already have a VIN and an estimated plant ship date only 3 weeks out.
Then the UP teamsters get to sit on it until they get damn good and ready to unload at the railhead.
Must have made it into the next model specific build group. I was told customer orders go towards the front of the line ahead of dealer orders.
Should see it early March. I hope some rebates/incentives pop up for March.
They assign the VIN right away. Yeah, waiting for the train seems to take forever. From what I've read in the Ram forums, you should be able to lock in rebates that are available now with the option to use better ones if they're available when you do the paperwork for your truck.
You might be able to find out more here: https://www.hdrams.com/
Yeah, no rebates to price protect right now anyway for Jan or Feb. There's a $500 competitive brand rebate and that's it.
I got 11% off a factory order, which is about the best I've seen anyone say they've ever gotten. Invoice less the full holdback amount less the DH B.S. fee they add in. At least I don't pay tax on the DH fee. Some have said I left $500 on the table, but I'm happy with the pricing I got. $1,500 less than the other two dealers still in the bidding game were willing to do.
Figuring towards the end of Feb and the dealer said we can sit on it if there's something coming in March which they typically see. Said they know the month prior to announcements.
Damn snow drift just won't melt. Have to fire up tractor and dig out my little berm out back. Have too many clean 22's and couple that need zero.
Mrs bo is being stubborn about putting shooting port in fence so I can shoot prone from the deck and not worry about damaging chain link.
And vetoed built in ladder to deck roof.
I think she may be right on this one.
