A lot of "news" today is simply screen captures of twitter posts, especially on sports sites.

As for Walz, even if it were true, which I doubt, it will have zero effect on this election.

A sympathetic press will ignore it for the next three weeks.

That is very possible, but "qualified immunity" does not apply to felonies committed before taking office, and if a victim files a criminal complaint he would be arrested and jailed while VPOTUS, then replaced with that administration's Secretary of State.

    We'll see what happens.

I considered the possibility of an elaborate PSYOP to discredit him, but from what I've seen so far there is a strong possibility the allegations are credible. We should know more by the end of the week.

I thought President Nixon picked the replacement Vice President when Spiro Agnew left as VP when he selected Ford to take the office.
Is it automatic for VP to Secretary of State or is it the succession if first the President is gone, and then the VP is gone.
I am not remembering my Civics classes in Jr. High too well.

You could be correct in that regard.

Agnew was a crook and got caught. Nixon couldn't another crook stealing his thunder.

It's President, then VP takes office, then Speaker of the House. If I am understanding the question correctly.

The line of succession only applies if the President dies or is removed from office. Or the top two or three etc.

If the Vice President can no longer serve, the President nominates a new VP that has to be approved by Congress.
