    I don't know why it would/should be illegal, as long as the device is legally owned. You're just protecting your hearing is all. But anyone who uses one for poaching or such should be strung up by the balls.

    In Colorado it is legal to hunt with a suppressor, one of the few states where it is.

    it is advisable to have the tax stamp with you at all times, weather hunting or not, when using the suppressor. I've not run into a game warden yet while hunting with my can on.

    In a lot of Scandinavian nations local areas demand you use a suppressor for noise pollution.

    In states where it is illegal, it is a measure against poaching. Just like having a loaded rifle in your vehicle.

    It is REQUIRED to have according to the letter I got from Bob Thompson/Acting Chief of Wildlife law enforcement, Colorado Parks and Wildlife.
