    Default Muzzle brake suggestions

    I've got a 260 rem threaded 5/8 by 24 waiting for a supressor to show up.Probally 3 more months.Due to my inconsistant shooting form prone I rarely can see impact or misses which would improve my shooting greatly I believe.Is there a brake I could screw on with these threads that would solve this problem temporarily?Would the thunderbeast brake attachment serve this purpose?Thanks in advance.

    I can't speak to the Thunderbeast, but I will say that the Badger Thruster works really well. Not to mention the fact that it can be lathed to match your barrel contour to give it a nice smooth and clean look.

    Most brakes are pretty comparable performance wise. You want a side discharge brake so your view is not compromised.
    The most important thing to be learned from those who demand "Equality For All" is that all are not equal...

    Take a look at this brake, don't have to modify it in any way to fit your barrel. When you get your can, sell the brake. I've had one for about a year, works well.

    The TBAC brake works as well as the other brakes of that design with similar surface area in the chambers , it will be fine on a 260. TBAC builds top quality stuff an Shane , Zak , and Ray are good people and support the shooting sports in a huge way .

    Not tryin to be a dick, because I still have problems with it as well, but if you can't see your shots its you and not the gun. I have the same problem I am working out with bipod hop where I do not always have it loaded properly and the gun jumps up and left and can not call my shots. I'd work that out over a muzzle break on a .260. FWIW.

    There is no doubt the problem is all on me.Bipod hops to the left left almost every time,slow learner I guess.I've watched a few videos on the subject on the hide but never seem to have the time to live fire practice them.
    The can I have coming is a thunderbeast 30p-1.If I order the brake attachment is everything the same,length and thread wise,that would basically convert it to the brake attachment model?I'll have to call Ray tomorrow I guess.Thanks for the replys.

    Yes as long as the muzzle attachment you use is 5/8-24, just have a competent smith thread it so everything is on center and no worries about baffle strikes on your new can. You can test alignment also with a simple rod. I have the same can, waiting on my forms to clear they are slow, my last one was just over 6 months! Actually reading your post again it sounds like you ordered the direct thread? In that case any muzzle device you put on would have to be removed anytime you wanted the can on. If you want to use a thunder beast muzzle break and attach a suppressor you would want to order the 30BA.

    The way I read this You have a 30P1 on order already and want to know if it will work on the TBAC brake ?

    The 30P1 is a single point thread on can and the 30BA is the can that goes over the brake . The threads and attachment are different and don't interchange .

    If the transfer process has already started the only option would be to have the can rebuilt as a BA can . I don't know for sure if this is possible and You should contact TBAC .

    Thanks Chuck,thats what I was wondering.Mark C threaded the barrel for a 30P1.I was hoping the brake attachment and can have the same lenght shank and threads and basically would convert to a BA can.Sounds like the 30p1 can wont screw on the TB BA.Guess I should have ordered the BA can to begin with,but that would be too simple.That RD precision brake looks like it would work for a quick fix.Same threads,spin it on,time it up and lock screw check clearance.Yea or nea?
