    Picked up the Sawyer water bottle a while ago. Filled it with water out of one of the fishing ponds along the Platte in Thornton. I drank about a half bottle full. Waiting to see if I get sick. The water tasted exactly like my tap water. I think the pond is actually next to the water treatment plant, so it might actually just be untreated tap water.

    I lived! That weekend I drank lake water AND accidentally ate half of a rancid hamburger. I felt like a super hero.
