I have an old MSR Sweetwater filter and really haven't used it much.

I used a pair of Sweetwater Guardian filters for all of my drinking water needs for a solid year in rural Indonesia. They used to have an accessory "viral guard" attachment for the bottom of them, I'm not sure if those still exist or not since MSR bought the company.

Not the one you queried about, but the Katadyn "Pocket" filter will filter 13,000 gallons and filter down to .2 microns. Pricey, but constructed better than any filter I've ever seen: http://www.katadyn.com/usen/katadyn-...adyn-pocket-1/
