    Default Best Place to Sight-In?

Got my AR all put together and ready to roll, now I just need to sight her in. Can anyone recommend a range/spot near Metro-Denver where I can do this? If I gotta run to the hills, so be it... and suggestions would be appreciated.

Cherry Creek,, Gotta pay to get into the park, and then pay again at the range,, Plus, I have heard that they aren't real friendly to the Black rifle..

If You can Hold off till Sat. Our Monthly shoot happens..

Cherry Creek is your best choice in the metro area.

They've been friendly to all my black rifles... so don't worry about that (you just can't rapid fire).

Cherry Creek sounds good, but their website says only 50yd and 100yd rifle targets. I really want to sight-in at 25yds. Are they flexible with moving targets around... or is the 50/100 setup pretty permanent?

Also... where's the monthly shoot? That sounds like it'd be more my style.

I have a rifle i need to sight in, i'll probably head to the North site either today or tomorrow.

That's the closest place i know of, not a fan of the public ranges. Plus with gas being around $2 now, it will be cheaper to drive the 45 minutes anyways. Let me know if you need any help or want to join.

Sucka, I'd love to join you. North site sounds great, and I've never sighted-in before, so any help would be greatly appreciated. PM to setup a place/time to meet! THANKS!

If we can't make it happen, the boys at the South Site can certainly get you squared away.

I have to ask...why do you want to sight in a rifle at 25 yards? That's pistol range. Or did you mean 250 yards? You could join the Ben Lomond Gun Club, we have ranges out to 600 yds. www.blgc.org

Iono... just following the directions at AR15.com. They said to start at 25 meters for a 16" carbine.

    Is that wrong?
