I think we all took the comment as a little good natured razzing, Mark.
SA Friday is one of the good guys.

Im in for sat to get cleared
meet at noon?
Yep. High noon at the East Range Stat shack. The required flag is $10, so bring a ten spot if you plan on passing.
haha. ok. thanks
see you then
I have had a few people e-mail me or PM me concerned that they may not be able to pass the dynamic movement clearance because they are not "fast" nor are they "competitors".
NO need to worry! 90% of the clearance is common sense safety stuff. Also, if you can't make Saturday, no worries, I will do them at least once a month for the rest of the year. If you don't pass, I will get you a study guide so that you can educate yourself. And no, I won't give it to you ahead of time. The target placement stuff, I will tell you, but the actual safety stuff, you have to know it cold.
I'd prefer you to do so homework by using web resources. Here are a few links to print out and know:

You will have to demonstrate safe reloads, clearance and unload and holster (bag for long guns) clear for your weapons as well. If you can not pass, you should not have been doing anything but shooting under the control of a range officer anyway. So, if you don't, you will get some good, free education...all good!
Have had 3 people go through the dynamic movement clearance. It was pretty painless. Next one would be August 10.
Is a certificate from someplace like Front Sight or Blue Core a substitute for the in-person stuff? just wondering if there are other ways to get this done without requiring you're time and all the scheduling hassles.

No other way. I will be at the range next Saturday.
