    Default Weapon coatings

There was a gentleman that was doing weapon coating on this site last year. Does anyone know who that was or have a good connection with a local (Colorado owned) vendor that does that type of work?

Please provide a little more specifics. What type of coating are looking for? If it's CeraKote I can point you in the right direction.

You know, although old, i know little about coatings. It could very well be CeraKote. What i do know is that he was coating whole Glocks and AR's in multiple colors and camo prints. So any curing must have been low temp. I saw several Glocks used in competition having many draws and reholsterings and the coating seemed to hold up pretty well.
I'm interested in having both a Glock and an AR done in matched colors.

Gotcha! Cerakote has to be "baked" and is usually a single color. The advantage is it is ceramic and very durable.
Hopefully someone else will be able to chime in with some more helpful information for you.

Duracoat SL. There's probably several members here that do it. Put up a WTB in Trading Post.

I table next to the guy who goes to all the gunshows and have seen his work firsthand. Awesome detail. http://www.rockymountaintacticalcoatings.com/

Todd at Shadow Ops Weaponry does an INCREDIBLE job at Cerakoting, and its WAY more durable than Duracoat. Look him up!
