    Default BLGC Membership Question

So, I am going completing the membership application for the Ben Lomond Gun Club and I noticed the website stated they have reached their cap for the year.

I don't mind being placed on the wait-list but when mailing in the necessary paperwork, do I still have to send the check even if I will be wait listed?

    Thanks in advance!

I don't believe so, but the easiest way to find out is to go to the BLGC.org website and get George's phone number and call him. He will help you out.

If you are in Denver, why are you not looking at CO Rifle Club in Byers? It's probably closer. Only downside is I've heard they really don't allow move-shoot practice there in the pistol berms. I could be wrong on this though. I haven't read their bylaws.
Mom's comin' 'round to put it back the way it ought to be.

They are about the same distance from my place in Denver so decided to go with BLGC because of some of the rules at CO Rifle Club are a bit more restrictive.

Unless something has changed, you will need to attend a chapter meeting and turn your paperwork in there once you come up on the list and are notified. A chapter officer will need to sign off on it, collect payment, and take your badge photo.

The instructions say nothing about sending in payment.

    As stated on the website:

To be placed on the first come first served membership Wait-List; mail your completed membership application and proof of NRA membership to BLGC, P. O. Box 686, Sedalia, CO 80135. NRA membership proof includes a copy of your NRA card, the mailing label from your NRA magazine, or the membership confirmation email from the NRA. You will be notified of any openings via email and phone so please make them legible.

It makes no mention of showing up to a chapter meeting.

I get that, but expect you will be notified to do so once your name comes up.

Just get his number and call George directly like SAFriday said.

If I remember correctly, I paid at the required meeting. Just a heads up, you have to stand up and tell the members a little about yourself, and then they vote on to accept you or not. As long as you don't tell them that you're a liberal from Boulder, you're gonna get voted in.
