Default Who wants to go Bird Hunting?

Planing a short two day hunt after Thanksgiving in South West Nebraska. I have room for a couple more hunters and dogs at my place in Benkelman and they have a Motel in town and a few B&B also. Also I have room for a few RV's, and they have tons of camping and Motels around the two near by lakes. It will cost you about $100.00 for a non-resident license and habitat stamp. We want to leave early Friday morning and it's a 200 mile drive from Denver to Benkelman. The CO-OP there has everything you need to get started hunting. We can stop by my house or check-in the at the Circle B Motel or whatever. The first hunting spot is only 10 miles North of my place and from there we have many options, the Lakes have a bunch of places to hunt and all the surounding Counties have Pheasants are Forever areas. PM me for more details.

My friend whimped out on this weekend for bird hunting, So we'll probably go in the early part of December if anyone is still interested.

I might be interested if I can get away. I have two Spinoni that haven't been out since the Montana opener in October and I really want to get them on some birds. I have never hunted that area of Nebraska so it might be interesting. I have typically hunted Perkins County with good success.

Here are my boys after a day in Montana (2 roosters & 3 sharptail)

My dad and I went out today out by Yuma and Akron. We've been going every year around this time since I carried a BB gun (probably 10-12 years now), and today was the first time either of us got a bird. Dad got a nice rooster. We're trying to plan out a several-day hunt in South Dakota for next year. Anyone got info on something like that?

I can get away just about anytime I want, But most everybody I hunt with are enslaved Monday through Thursday. I'm pretty flexible.

Those are some good looking Spinonis, my wife wants a puppy like that someday. I have a 4-year old German Wirehair Pointer (female), and I had a (Male) German Shorthair & an English Springer Spaniel (Male), and before them I had a (male) Brittany Spaniel. My Britt looked a lot like the one in the picture. His point looks identical. I really miss him, he was a great hunter.

    Thank you for the compliment.

That Brittany is a female and she is out of Beeline kennels; she is a very nice dog. If you look carefully, on the left hand side of the photo (just above the back of the closest Spinone) you will see a Springer. That Springer was taught to "hup", or a flushing dogs honor, when he saw a point.

I might be able to get away during the week for a hunt. I know I could get away just for the day.

I am interested as well. I am flexible and can get away most any day for any length of time so let me know.
