A great amount of advice here for sure.

Keep in mind. If you plan to sell it later or even think about selling it. I'd stick to a "clicky/mainstream" name like GAP if you're willing to drop $4K on a rifle alone, but if anything else... try to build it so it'll fit you (much trial and error).

I honestly think the "Big name" builders are kinda over rated for what it's worth... don't get me wrong... they "will" shoot extremely well if you do your part, but I've seen stock/new out of the box Rem 700 .308 with glass worth less than $1K shoot groups less than 1/2 MOA at a hundred yards with surplus 147 gr ammo many times too.

I got me a GAP .308.. no regrets and I am keeping it till I shoot the barrel out (someday, lol) . I'm a beginner in the long range shooting (compared to many on here) and I do appreciate the "Big name brand".... the rifle tells me "I'm the one who f*cked up!" if I miss a shot... so you do get what you pay for in some ways
