    Default 5 R barrels

What I would like to know are they as good as the hype?
    I bought a Smith and Wesson M & P 15T it has a 16 inch barrel with 1 in 8 twist 5R barrel
If these barrels are as good as some say, do the barrels have in quirks?

A good barrel is a good barrel. It's more about how well made it is than "this" rifling or "that" twist rate. A mass produced AR barrel will never be a hand-made professionally chambered and installed barrel. That being said, find an ammo it likes and tell us if its a shooter!

I know someone shooting some Black Hole Weaponry 5R barrels and through the chronograph he is getting consistently higher velocities all the way around in his 5R barrels... even compared to his other non-5R Black Hole barrels.
I say lets all remove the warning labels and let nature take its course.
